Over 70 years of company history — from its founding as a family business to today's position as part of the WISTAMA Group.
In 1949, Kurt Erchinger founded the company in a residential house in Tuttlingen town centre. In 1979, the new factory building was built at the current site on Rudolf-Diesel-Straße. In 1990, Carmen Rack, the founder's daughter, became the first generational successor to take over the company; in 1994, Erchinger invested in new CNC technologies. In 2017, Timo Rack took over as managing director in the third generation.
In 2021, the Swiss WISTAMA AG, represented by Dr Karl Stadler, acquired the company and took on all employees — the company became Erchinger AG. In 2022, strategic investments in automation technology followed, positioning the company for the future and continuing to deliver excellent quality at a high technical standard.
